It is therefore necessary to establish the means available to each natural person or legal entity to protect themselves against violations of their reputation or image (or to defend themselves in the event that baseless allegations are made). The rules applicable in this area are essentially set out in the Swiss Civil Code and the Swiss Criminal Code.
